Hot Air Balloon Ride Information

Your hot air balloon ride adventure will last for about four hours. During this time we will let you know about all aspects of the flight.

Our balloon rides, which are approximately one hour, take place at either end of the day, meeting at sunrise, or a few hours before sunset. At these times the calmer breezes are more suitable for hot air ballooning. We operate from April to October. Outside these times the weather is rarely good enough for us to fly.

Part of the fun of your balloon ride is helping layout the equipment and inflate the balloon, or you can leave it all to our trained and experienced crew. Before take off your pilot will tell you everything you need to know.

Rising gently into the air, the traditional wicker basket suspended beneath metres of colourful fabric provides a comfortable and stable platform for you to enjoy your balloon ride, take in the spectacular views and soak up the wonderful atmosphere of your flight.

As you begin to approach the end of your balloon ride, your pilot will choose a suitable landing site and return you skillfully to earth. You will then be met by our retrieve team, the balloon will be packed away and we will enjoy a real Champagne celebration!

Safety........

Hot Air Ballooning is extremely safe and providing that you are in reasonably good health, it is an activity suitable for all ages. Family and friends are more than welcome to join in the fun, or perhaps try their hand at balloon chasing!

We are fully licensed and registered with the Irish Aviation Authority and UK Civil Aviation Authority. We are also fully insured through HSBC.
